Revenge

While a dark fog covered the lands, and the moon light shone through the back clouds. The weather was humid after a warm rain. Cats scrambled in back alleys searching for scraps of food to eat, while the rats did the same; keeping their distance from the felines to keep themselves and their young safe. Footsteps could be heard coming down the steps of an old mansion, that was dry, and had moss growing down the sides of it, from people not cleaning it. A man with medium length silver hair was coming down the steps slowly. His black trench coat dragged across the steps that were behind him. He had a sword on his back in a sheath to hold it steady, and the blade was normally silver, but at this time the blade shone crimson in the moonlight as blood trickled from the end of the blade, dripping onto his coat, and the steps he left behind. As he walked, on the steps were red footsteps would be left behind. The man's shoes were drenched in blood. He slowly lifted his left hand, letting the sleeve of his coat run up his arm. Demons from hell rose from the ground, from a dark eerie light that contained alchemic circles in them. The man drew his sword, cutting the sheath slightly, while a devilish grin ran across his face. His lips opened a bit as he spoke in a tone that seemed sarcastic. "Another set of you guys? Good. I love your dark warm blood running across my skin!" As he spoke demons from the ground behind him. He left the smirk upon his face and swung around, slicing them in half. There were only three behind him. He watched as they gasped for air, and didn't move. He watched two of them split apart and dissapear into smoke and rise into the sky. The other one fell back and his head rolled across the ground and then also turned to smoke and rose to the sky. The man turned around to see four more demons. They were laughing evily, and coming towards him. One had two daggers, two had scythes, and another had guns. Their faces half deteriorated, with bugs and snakes running across them. It seemed their faces were skulls. They came closer to him, laughing like hyenas, and the man looked down at the ground. His smirk faded and a pain surged through his back. He felt heat in his back, and he felt paralyzed. He couldn't move his legs, but he saw blood trickle down his boot, pouring from the back side of his leg to the front. The heat ran down his leg, and he now knew he had been injured. He heard a deep toned laugh coming from behind him. Anger surged through him, and the pain flew away. He reached onto his back, grabbing the blade of what stabbed him, and pulled it out. He brought it in front of himself and looked at this weapon. It was a scythe. He brought the blade to his face and turned around to face a green demonic goblin, with piercings in his nose and eats. It was laughing and the man did the same. He brought the blade of the scythe across his tongue, tasting his blood and sending a vibe through him to want more. But he wanted this demon's blood. The man laughed softly. He started swinging the scythe through both hands in continuous rotations. The scythe itself went around and around. The blade glew a bright light of blue. It seemed as if the blade was attracting the power of wind. He quickly put the handle on the ground. The ground rumbled and the ground cracked behind him, summoning blades of wind, and struck the four demons behind him. The demons stood their unmoving, and the man lifted up the scythe and touched the ground once again. At the same time he closed his eyes. After the bottom of the scythe touching the ground, the demons fell apart at every point they were cut at. Their dark black blood, spewed as they screamed out in pain. Some blood reached the man's coat. The alchemic circles returned again, turning the demons into dust, as they left for the sky. The green demonic goblin, stood in front of the man with a grin, revealing his few yellow teeth. His skin was a dark green and his eyes were purple. The man's hair was covering his eyes. He swung his head back, revealing his eyes. His left eye was a yellow eye, the eye similar to that of a wolfs. His right eye was a deep shade of red, as if it had been stained with blood and never treated. Anger flared in the man's eyes. Like a fire that destroyed an entire planet. His grin had faded, but a look of sarcasm was in his eyes, and then he spoke to the goblin. "You got blood on my coat." He took the scythe and broke it. He threw it on the ground and had his sword in his hands again. He drew his arm behind him as if gathering power, then quickly he brought the sword over his head going for a stroke on the goblin. All he saw was a bolt of light. He felt a force against his sword and saw that the goblin also had a sword. It blocked his attack and it laughed in it's deep tone and said to the man. "For what I am, you'll never be able to defeat me. I'm always gaining power, and no matter what you do, you will not win." His voice was deep and distorted as he slowly began to laugh. His rancid breath seeped into the man's nostrils. The goblin then went to strike at the man's legs, and the man jumped back, landing on a downed pillar. He stood there pointing the blade towards the goblin. He jumped off it and ran at the goblin with his blade scraping across the ground behind him, and he came with an upstroke, hitting the goblins blade with such force, that the goblin flew into the sky. He jumped towards the goblin and battled in the sky, as they kept rising. Continuous blows were being cast by both the goblin and the man. The man started to fall first and did a backflip in the air with his arms spread out and landing on the ground. The goblin came down screaming; striking the man's blade as the man blocked it. The impact broke the area around them and pushed them both back, while tiles from the broken ground flew around and shattered. The blast shot the man against a wall and he sat there on the ground. All he could see was smoke. He saw a shadow in the smoke and it was moving fast towards him and then it disappeared. It was skinnier than the goblin so it couldn't have been him. But who or what was it? He had to get his head straight. He shook his head, planted his sword in the ground and used it to heave himself back to his feet. The smoke slowly cleared the area. He looked to his side to see a short dagger in the wall holding a piece of paper to the wall. He took the dagger and paper and opened it. There were a few words written on it and then he read it. "I'll be watching you." The man closed the letter and put it in his pocket. He felt a sharp point press against his temple. His eyes followed to his left side where he saw the goblins feet. They were wrapped in cloth for shoes and cut up. The man smirked as the goblin laughed. "So, you found me, eh?" The goblin stopped laughing, but talked with a tone of victory in his voice. :Yes, and it seems like you... will be just a memory." The goblin laughed and stopped soon after he started. The blood that flew down from the man's head ran down the blade of the goblin, and seeped into his skin. The man smiled, and said, "anything or one, that has no human relation in any kind is poisonous to my blood." After hearing this the goblin started shaking from two different things. One from the poison and one from being afraid. The man took a few steps away, and the goblin turned his head and spoke with great fear in his voice, "w-who.... a-are you..?!" The man bent down and grabbed the blade of the scythe he had broken earlier and smirked. He walked back over to the goblin and looked deep into his purple eyes. "My name... Is Inoku," he plunged the scythes broken blade into the goblin's stomach."And I will..." he paused and twisted the blade painfully, "never be a memory." He pulled out the blade, and the goblin fell back. His eyes rolled into the back of his head, and his eyelids shut for the last time. Inoku looked down at the goblin, his blood seeping onto the cold ground, watching the blood trickle from the goblins lips. Inoku then dropped the blade, and turned around. He put his sword back in his sheath on his back, and slowly walked back to the mansion, feeling no remorse for what he had done.
